My Biography

OK, where to begin...hmmmm. Well lets start at the beginning: I am the son of Howard L. Bird and Betty R. Pearson. I was born on February 11th, 1978 in Hood River, Oregon. My parents divorced when I was about a year and half old. When I was a little over two years old my mother married Paul L. Pearson. A few months down the road they gave birth to Aaron P. Pearson on February 15th, 1981. Well I guess they didn't think that two boys were enough trouble so they gave birth to Timothy L. Pearson on July 9th, 1983. In September 1983 I started school at Eldridge Elementary. I attended kindergarten and first grade there, after which I skipped 2nd Grade. Well I did, but I didn't skip 2nd grade. What happened was my 1st grade class had both 1st and 2nd grade in one. Well I did so well that half way through the year the moved me to the 2nd grade. The following year my mother home schooled me for my 3rd grade year, but I returned to public school my 4th grade year and on through half of my 6th grade year at which time my mother home schooled me once more. In 19?? my mom and step-father divorced. In August 1989 we moved to Roseburg, Oregon where I attended ?? Junior High School. During this year I had a couple of moments that drastically shaped my life, one was a bike accident in which I tried to use my face to slow myself down a hill and the other was meeting an elderly couple, Clement and Temperance Reynolds. The following year I transferred to a private Christian School, ?? Christian School. This dramatically changed my life. I feel that it had a huge impact upon my life and they way that I am today. My freshman year I played on the schools Basketball team, lets just say I didn't start every game. The summer between my sophomore and junior years we moved to Olympia, Washington. Here I attended Capital High School, Go Cougars!! My senior year I played left field for the schools baseball team.

Now the moment that forever changed my life, on February 16th, 1995 ,I signed the papers to enlist in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS, HOORAH. I went to boot camp November 28th 1995 in San Diego, California. Where I joined 1st Battalion, Charlie Company, platoon 1070. After three grueling months, on February 16th 1996, I earned the title "U.S. MARINE". From there I went to San Onifre, Camp Pendleton California where I attended Marine Combat Training (MCT). From here it was back home for 30 day recruiter assistance, where I had another turning point in my life, I met my wife Lisa E. Haenke. She was in the office to join the Marine Corps I have since talked her out of it.) We saw each other throughout that month and went on a few dates. Once that time was up I went to Quantico, Virginia to become a Small Computer Systems Specialist/4066 at the Computer Sciences School. On July 19th 1996, One week before graduation, after keeping in touch over the phone and letters Lisa came to visit me. Later that evening I asked her to marry me, and of course she said YES!! Well ok, she cried first and then said yes. Man nothing like that silence after I asked her until I could get her to say anything. Well after graduation on July 26th 1996 I went home for 30 days vacation and to tell everyone the news of my huge life decision. Now it was off to Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa was a huge life change for me, a whole new culture was the biggest change. Well after a week of briefing on the do's and don'ts of the local culture and an extenuous list of things we need to stay away from I was unleashed with 6 of my Computer Sciences School class mates to reap havoc upon the island. Well after being there for four months by myself, Lisa decided to join me for Christmas. One thing led to another and she ended up staying for the remainder of my eight months there. On April 19th of 1997 we were wed. Worst...I mean !!BEST!! mistake of my life. Ha ha, just joking, I love it and wouldn't trade it for the world it would at least take the world and moon.)

After a very interesting year in Okinawa, it was back to Quantico, Virginia where on September 18th, 1997 I joined Marine Corps Base Quantico's Communications Electronics Division (which would later become Base G-6). On October 1st, 1997 I obtained the rank of Corporal.
